Bloomington, Indiana -- Announcement -- The Indiana Heat will be commencing the 12th year of existence in 2008. The Heat Baseball Tournaments continue again in 2008, bringing some of the top teams from around the Midwest and Canada to play competitive weekends of baseball. In 2008, the Heat will be hosting six (6) competitive events, which include the following:

April -- Early Bird -- Columbus, Indiana -- EVENT FULL
May -- 12th Annual -- Memorial Classic -- Bloomington, Indiana
June -- Get Games Weekend -- 9U - 13U -- Bloomington, Indiana
June -- Father's Day Weekend -- 14U - 16U Only
July -- 12th Annual July 4th -- Bloomington, Plainfield and Shelbyville areas
July -- 5th Annual Indiana Heat Wooden Bat -- Bloomington, Plainfield, Indianapolis and Shelbyville
August/September -- Fall Wooden Bat Classic -- Labor Day Weekend -- Bloomington, Indiana

May 2008 -- The Indiana Heat will be promoting teams in 2008 -- age divisions: 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U. The Heat is now accepting applications for the 2009 Heat Travel Baseball Teams.

February 2008 -- Bloomington, Indiana -- Indiana Heat announces the selection of the 2008 14U Heat Baseball Coach -- Coach Kerry Griffith -- Coach Griffith played college baseball at the University of Louisville. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals and played in the Cardinals organization for three years before injuries shortened his career.

Coach Griffith is excited about the opportunity to lead the 2008 -- 14U Indiana Heat team.
