Indiana Heat Baseball will be
hosting 2009 Indiana Heat Baseball Tryouts over Labor
Day Weekend in Bloomington, Indiana. Age
Divisions for 2009, include: 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U.

- Tryout format:
- Runs -- 60 yards / home to first
- Infield evaluations -- including radar of
throwing speed
- Outfield evaluations -- including radar of
throwing speed
- Pitching evaluations -- The Heat will
evaluate all pitchers, to include radar speeds.
- Hitting evaluations -- Prospects will hit in
the cages to be evaluated
February 2008 -- ANNOUNCEMENT -- The
Indiana Heat is proud and happy to announce that Kerry
Griffith will be coaching the 2008 -- 14U Indiana Heat
Baseball team.

Information on
Coach Kerry
Griffith -- He played baseball at Bloomington South
High School. After graduation, he
accepted a baseball scholarship to the University Of
Louisville. After graduation from the
University of Louisville, Coach Griffith was drafted
by the St. Louis Cardinals where he spent three
years before injuries shortened his playing career.
Coach Griffith was ranked 10th
in career pitching appearances and still holds the
career record in saves at the University of
Louisville. He was an all star his first year
leading the Appellation Rookie league in wins,
shutouts and complete games.
Coach Griffith lives in
Bloomington and is a Lieutenant with the Indiana
Conservation Officers and is the Training section
Commander.
